📋 Description

• Triage and submit medication prior authorization requests • Screen calls and schedule appointments accordingly • Review and update medication lists in the electronic medical record • Complete referrals and track patient compliance • Review prescriptions electronically and send them to providers for review and submission • Obtain patient consent for procedures as directed by providers • Perform pre-visit planning and review quality metrics • Retrieve telephonic clinical information from patients calling the office • Monitor provider task lists and complete assigned tasks based on urgency • Educate patients about medications, testing procedures, and home-care techniques • Ensure proper labeling, handling, and documentation of patient specimens • Follow up with patients regarding test results based on provider advice • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including disinfecting patient-care areas and equipment • Maintain medical and drug cabinets with nursing colleagues • Use the electronic medical record for communication • Perform assigned quality-assurance duties • Provide clinical visit summaries and educational materials as requested • Participate in daily Patient Care huddles as appropriate • Work cooperatively with colleagues to ensure quality patient care • Perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred • High school diploma or equivalent required • Current, unencumbered New York State RN license • Basic Life Support certification • At least 6 months of previous RN experience • Ability to lift 20 lbs. • Experience with electronic medical records • Ability to perform telephone triage and clinical assessment • Must work day shift • Full-time availability
