📋 Description

• Support customer relations, physician relations, patient care, and hospital business services through administrative and scheduling activities • Perform pre-registration and electronically verify insurance eligibility • Accurately identify and collect patient financial responsibility • Handle complex scheduled events, including high-dollar testing and associated studies with study-specific instructions • Communicate with service delivery areas to maximize patient flow and customer service • Initiate the overall patient experience and billing process for hospital services • Schedule complex facility-based ancillary testing across multiple facilities and states • Schedule appointments across multiple facilities with significant protocol variations

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent • Two (2) to Five (5) years experience in scheduling, financial clearance, or patient access • Specialist II requires a minimum of five plus (5) years of scheduling experience in an acute care setting • Comprehensive knowledge of multiple scheduling systems • Demonstrated proficiency in complex diagnostic testing appointment scheduling processes • National certification in HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA required within one (1) year of hire • Proficient use of Patient Registration/Patient Accounting systems and related software systems
