• Serve as a deployable senior-level labor relations consultant responding to medium-risk, system-wide and/or RHM/organization labor relations needs • Manage and oversee multiple labor contracts covering 100 to 600 union members • Provide consultation to HR Business Partners, RHM executives, and leadership teams on complex labor relations matters • Develop strategic and tactical recommendations for workplace environment improvement efforts • Provide expertise in labor relations strategy development and implementation • Advise on medium-risk daily labor relations activities with substantial potential financial impact • Partner with legal counsel and corporate communications on labor relations programs and policy information • Lead medium-risk labor relations bargaining and contract negotiations, including contract interpretation • Collect, track, maintain, and analyze labor relations data • Conduct colleague and labor relations investigations, particularly those involving external agency or organization claims • Develop and disseminate labor relations communications and evaluate program impacts • Design and implement labor relations programs, tools, and processes • Support medium-risk grievances, mediation, and arbitration initiatives • Develop and deliver complex labor relations education and awareness programs • Conduct vulnerability assessments and identify workplace environment improvements • Provide strategic guidance for positive colleague relationships and workforce engagement • Collaborate with Centers of Excellence on labor relations strategies, tactics, tools, and approaches • Support the design and delivery of leader and manager learning and engagement programs • Provide labor relations technical support during Mergers, Divestitures & Acquisitions activities • Monitor labor trends, tactics, best practices, labor laws, regulations, and NLRB decisions
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Labor or Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field, with five to seven years of progressively responsible labor relations experience, including collective bargaining and program development, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Seasoned specialized knowledge of labor relations, human resources practices, and employment laws and regulations • Considerable knowledge of labor relations, collective bargaining, dispute resolution, and techniques for fostering a positive collaborative culture • Five to seven years of experience negotiating union contracts and managing grievances, arbitrations, campaigns, and NLRB proceedings • Prior health-care experience preferred • Ability to work independently and make sound business decisions on labor issues • Ability to understand organizational structure, business operations, and financial impact analysis • Analytical, interpretative, evaluative, constructive, logical, and deductive reasoning abilities • Exceptional interpersonal, consultative, relationship-building, written, verbal, and presentation skills • Ability to influence results, anticipate needs, coach, mentor, and guide colleagues across organizational levels • Proficiency in Office 365 • Ability to maintain the highest confidentiality with extremely sensitive data • Proven customer-service orientation and ability to understand customer requirements • Ability to support change management and process improvement • Ability to continuously learn and pursue professional growth • Ability to operate in a collaborative, shared-leadership environment and demonstrate teamwork • Must be able to travel extensively, approximately 75% of the time, with minimal advance notice • Must comply with Trinity Health policies and procedures
