📋 Description

• Provide leadership in structuring and executing Standby and Commercial Letters of Credit • Review and interpret credit agreements and complex underlying transaction structures • Oversee end-to-end closing and issuance of Direct Pay Letters of Credit • Ensure alignment with risk, regulatory, and client requirements • Drive international trade finance solutions as a subject matter expert • Partner with correspondent banks and engage directly with clients • Provide strategic guidance, product education, and customized solutions supporting client objectives • Act as an escalation point and liaison across clients, front-line teams, and operations • Identify, escalate, and resolve inconsistencies and complex issues • Mitigate risk and promote seamless execution • Provide direction and leadership for planning, development, strategies, and implementation roadmaps • Assess organizational objectives, define mobilization activities, and develop achievable goals • Improve departmental effectiveness and implement best-practice processes • Provide leadership and management oversight to achieve high-quality processing and performance results • Lead teammate development and engagement, including recommendations regarding employment, career development, performance evaluations, salary changes, promotions, transfers, and terminations • Develop and implement standards, processes, and procedures consistent with financial services industry standards • Work with business units and functional groups to drive cohesion across large-scale efforts • Direct activities supporting merger/conversion processes • Promote a results-oriented team environment that continuously evaluates operations

🎯 Requirements

• College Degree in business or related field, or equivalent education and related experience • 5-7 years in commercial lending, business administration, banking operations and management, strategic planning, or risk • Strong lending knowledge including consulting, commercial/retail products, specialty lending, appraisals, regulatory and compliance, servicing, due diligence, documentation, funding and reconciliations • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to interact with executive leadership • Strong leadership, organizational, and planning skills • Ability to work proactively and operate accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with variable deadlines • English language fluency required • MBA or other advanced level degree preferred • Banking School Certification preferred • Excellent knowledge of applicable financial industry laws such as ISP, UCP, Patriot Act, AML, and BSA preferred • Thorough understanding of SWIFT messaging preferred • Corporate client-facing experience preferred • Truist will not sponsor work visa status, employment authorization, or provide immigration-related support
