📋 Description

• Provide leadership in the structuring and execution of Standby and Commercial Letters of Credit • Review and interpret credit agreements and complex underlying transaction structures • Oversee the end-to-end closing and issuance process for Direct Pay Letters of Credit • Drive international trade finance solutions as a subject matter expert • Partner with correspondent banks and engage directly with clients to provide strategic guidance, product education, and customized solutions • Serve as a critical escalation point and liaison across clients, front-line teams, and operations • Identify, escalate, and resolve inconsistencies across stakeholders to mitigate risk and ensure seamless execution • Provide direction and leadership for planning, development, strategies, and implementation roadmaps • Assess organizational objectives, define mobilization activities, and develop goals to improve departmental effectiveness • Provide leadership and management oversight to achieve high-quality processing and performance results consistent with corporate objectives and legal and regulatory compliance • Direct and lead teammate development and engagement, including recommendations regarding employment, career development, performance evaluations, salary changes, promotions, transfers, and terminations • Develop and implement standards, processes, and procedures consistent with best practices and financial services industry standards • Work with business units and functional groups to drive cohesion and connectivity across large-scale efforts • Direct activities supporting merger/conversion processes for seamless transitions • Promote a results-oriented team environment that continuously evaluates existing operations

🎯 Requirements

• College Degree in business or related field, or equivalent education and related experience • 5-7 years in commercial lending, business administration, banking operations and management, strategic planning, or risk • Strong lending knowledge, including consulting, commercial/retail products, specialty lending, appraisals, regulatory and compliance, servicing, due diligence, documentation, funding and reconciliations • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to interact with executive leadership • Strong leadership, organizational, and planning skills • Ability to work proactively and operate accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with variable deadlines • English language fluency required • MBA or other advanced level degree preferred • Banking School Certification preferred • Excellent knowledge of financial industry applicable laws such as ISP, UCP, Patriot Act, AML, and BSA preferred • Thorough understanding of SWIFT messaging preferred • Corporate client facing experience preferred • Must not require work visa sponsorship or employment authorization support
