📋 Description

• Monitor production performance and capacity, and give the team clear recommendations before small issues become outages • Work with engineers on slow queries and production problems, and help them understand the fix so the same problem doesn't come back • Create and maintain database documentation, including diagrams, design standards, and best practices • Use AWS tooling to manage backups, security, compliance, and disaster recovery • Design, manage, and maintain the primary MySQL database with millions of records • Continuously monitor database performance and capacity • Collaborate with software engineers on design patterns for new data and best practices for database interactions • Work largely self-directed in collaboration with company goals

🎯 Requirements

• Four to six years of experience as a MySQL DBA, including hands-on support of production systems • A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • The ability to manage your own priorities and meet deadlines with little oversight • Experience with Rivery, Snowflake, or other BI tools • Experience with PostgreSQL
