📋 Description

• Perform full-cycle bookkeeping for assigned clients, including AP, AR, bank and credit card reconciliations, journal entries, and transaction categorization • Reconcile balance sheet accounts tied to schedules and research and resolve discrepancies • Complete month-end close and management reports • Review work completed during the month before submission to the senior accountant • Communicate directly with clients in coordination with the client manager • Write and maintain process documentation for owned tasks • Perform simple to advanced cleanups with some direction • Create and send client invoices when applicable • Enter vendor bills and prepare payments for approval when applicable • Prepare payroll for review and processing when applicable • Follow documented close workflows and operate within client time budgets • Support client managers and controllers in delivering accurate, complete, and consistent client services

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field • At least 1–2 years of hands-on bookkeeping or general accounting experience • Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online • Strong attention to detail • Reliability with deadlines and client deliverables • Ability to raise potential delays early • Comfortable asking questions when something is unclear • Consistent follow-through on review notes • Clear client communication and ownership of issues • Ability to track time and manage to time budgets • Understanding that engagement scope dictates service level and detail • Commitment to accuracy and completeness within scope • Ability to improve processes and reduce rework • Experience or strong working knowledge of cash and accrual basis accounting preferred • Exposure to complex client accounts or advanced cleanups preferred • Sales tax filings experience preferred • Multi-entity or multi-client handling preferred • Experience using AI tools in an accounting workflow preferred • Familiarity with Bill.com, Gusto, or similar tools is a plus • Availability Monday through Friday with working hours reasonably aligned to U.S. business hours
