📋 Description

• Provide technical support to customers' PCB designers and manufacturing groups • Interface with customers' PCB designers early in the design cycle • Provide feedback on routing, layout techniques, signal integrity, PCB layer stack-up cost trade-offs, material selection, and electrical/mechanical requirements • Educate customer designers and technologists on Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Value (DFV) • Reduce customer design-cycle time by facilitating or eliminating problem disposition between TTM pre-production engineering groups and customers • Improve the quality and completeness of customer design packages • Identify design problems related to manufacturability and reliability testing • Update customer designers and manufacturing groups on TTM capabilities • Set roadmap and technology direction through formal customer presentations • Support QTA/NPI/high-volume manufacturing using TTM North America and Asia Pacific solutions • Provide TTM manufacturing facilities with insight into future customer needs and technology requirements • Identify and communicate roadmap and capability gaps • Facilitate customer technical needs with engineering and operations • Analyze customer designs for manufacturability, controlled impedance, and specification improvements • Establish technical contacts between customers and TTM • Assist pre-production teams through the DFM/TQ process in resolving on-hold issues at customer sites • Assist Sales Account Managers in increasing customer revenue through technical support and service • Travel to customer sites and TTM manufacturing sites as required • Create and conduct technical capability presentations with the sales team • Interface regularly with Sales, Development, Pre-Production Engineering, and Operations while balancing communication across departments

🎯 Requirements

• Ideal candidate must reside in California • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related discipline preferred • 6+ years of experience in engineering activities related to PCB manufacturing preferred • Minimum level experience of electrical design performance and signal integrity (Impedance, insertion loss) • Intermediate level skills for drawing / blueprint interpretation and use of PCB CAM software and tooling PCB stack-up tools • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project • Strong printed circuit engineering background and knowledge of the entire PCB manufacturing process, including process flows, individual processing steps, and tooling • Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to work well with customers' design groups • Ability to make decisions influencing PCB design quality for strategic customers and enable high-yield products across TTM North America and Asia Pacific sites • Self-motivated and willing to work with minimum supervision • Ability to make routine decisions with general direction from the department Manager • Effective public speaking and presentation skills • Disciplined in working remotely • Ability to travel 15–25% for customer visits and TTM North America and Asia Pacific manufacturing sites • Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and applicable ITAR, EAR, and OFAC laws • Must be able to identify ITAR products and understand access restrictions for US Citizens and US Permanent Residents • Must recognize Foreign Person visitors and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities • Must understand export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US and manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services
