📋 Description

• Support Revenue Cycle workflows including Front End Patient Support, Scheduling, Pre-Registration, Referrals and Authorization • Perform administrative and financial-clearance duties to facilitate patients’ procurement of clinical services • Collect demographic, financial and clinical information from patients, physician offices and acute-care entities • Schedule, reschedule and cancel appointments; handle primary-care referrals • Support inbound and outbound call volume • Complete pre-registrations • Send and receive MyTuftsMed portal messages • Support Epic appointment and patient workqueues • Generate and finalize patient estimates and attempt to collect estimated amounts due • Receive and transcribe hospital-based orders • Obtain referrals and authorizations • Collect copays, deductibles and/or coinsurances • Respond to patient, physician and employee inquiries regarding registration, appointments, estimates, provider messages and other services • Maintain quality, productivity and customer-service KPIs/metrics • Ensure adherence to standard process discipline • Participate in training, coaching, mentoring and bi-monthly meetings • Contribute to departmental goals, initiatives, teamwork and positive morale

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent • Experience in insurance, managed care, private physician’s office practice or hospital registration setting preferred • Revenue Cycle, Patient Access or Pre-Services experience preferred • Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT and ICD-10 codes • Significant knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payer billing guidelines, compliance, and regulations • Knowledge of Epic Cadence, Vyne/Trace, Microsoft Teams, Amazon Connect/AWS • Proven analytical and critical-thinking skills and strong decision-making • Ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative data and trends • Ability to collaborate within and outside Revenue Cycle and adapt methodologies and approaches • Ability to build relationships with team members • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills • Ability to work in a complex environment with frequent changes • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • 3 weeks of full-time training required from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
