📋 Description

• Handle incoming phone calls from patients, families, and referring providers to schedule appointments • Schedule appointments across multiple providers, clinics, departments, practices, and campuses • Make outbound calls to patients to schedule specialist and subspecialist appointments • Collect patient demographics, insurance information, and account guarantor details • Process updates and corrections to patient insurance and demographic information • Collect patient liabilities before or on the date of service, as appropriate • Secure medical records from outside healthcare organizations based on appointment visit type • Schedule in-office procedures and coordinate procedure-room scheduling

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma • English speaking, reading and writing skills • Strong intrapersonal and communication skills • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted where applicable • Preferred: Associate’s degree in business or healthcare-related field • Preferred: Previous scheduling and/or phone customer services experience • Preferred: Previous experience in a health care organization • Preferred: Bilingual speaking, reading, and writing skills
