📋 Description

• Manage external design consultants, including architects, engineers, and specialty contractors, from appointment through construction administration • Ensure design deliverables meet client branding, functional requirements, and sustainability goals • Conduct design reviews at key milestones for compliance with project briefs and technical specifications • Facilitate value engineering while maintaining design integrity and quality • Provide early warnings for potential design schedule delays and implement mitigation strategies • Coordinate internal stakeholders, project managers, and design teams to resolve technical challenges • Manage documentation for permit applications and regulatory submissions • Represent client interests during design meetings • Develop and deliver architectural briefs based on business and stakeholder requirements • Manage design consultant output for accuracy, transparency, and accessibility • Collaborate with project management teams and external architectural practices throughout the project lifecycle

🎯 Requirements

• B.A. or B.F.A. in Interior Design from a Council for Interior Design Accreditation curriculum, or a B.A. or M.A. in Architecture from an accredited architectural curriculum • 1 to 5 years of experience in commercial project design, construction, or project management • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business and technical documents • Proficiency in Adobe Suite, AutoCAD, and Revit • Sophisticated knowledge of financial terms and principles, including budget analysis and project cost tracking • Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations to clients, management, and project teams • Ability to negotiate effectively with external consultants and internal stakeholder groups • Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and industry-standard procurement processes • Ability to make decisions with an in-depth understanding of company policies and business practices • NCIDQ certification or architectural registration preferred
