📋 Description

• Run design activities for hyperscale data center construction and other projects • Serve as client’s agent, consultant, advisor, and authorized owner’s representative through all design phases and fields until hand-off to the client’s construction team • Manage, coordinate, and administer client design consultants • Localize program-level Plan of Record designs • Facilitate large design coordination meetings and page-turn design meetings • Facilitate planning, kickoff, design review, and large-scale workshops • Author contract scopes of work and gain internal stakeholder buy-in • Issue and administer contracts • Define and track deliverables • Track cost, schedule, progress, and scope • Provide health reporting on cost, schedule, scope, and progress • Build design teams from matrixed internal stakeholders and external partners • Manage changes to project scope and design contracts • Facilitate technical decisions • Coordinate design activities with procurement and construction • Communicate with internal stakeholders and external partners • Ensure engineering information is issued to the correct party, at the correct time, and in the correct format • Adhere to applicable SOX control responsibilities

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field • Professional licensure (PE, NCARB, RA) strongly preferred, or significant professional experience (+10 years) may substitute • Prior experience with data center design and/or construction preferred • Strong understanding of construction principles and practices • Experience preparing project plans and specifications • Experience drafting scopes of work • Experience with government regulations • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously • Working understanding of AutoCAD for drawing reviews and mark-ups • Ability to travel to project sites about 30% of the time • Ability to work on projects in and around Atlanta, Charleston, and Raleigh
