• Drive business development and sales within the Small Business and Branch Banking segment for companies with less than $2.5 million in annual revenue • Develop new business relationships and expand and increase profitability within existing client accounts • Build and maintain a strong pipeline through self-sourced prospecting and partnership with Business Banking Specialists and branch colleagues • Identify sales opportunities based on client needs, market dynamics, and organizational products and services • Make consultative sales presentations to existing and prospective clients • Articulate the value and benefits of payment solutions to meet business needs • Implement and maintain an effective referral network and call program • Prospect, develop, and manage a sales pipeline focused on small businesses • Execute merchant sales strategies within the Small Business segment • Plan and execute sales campaigns to drive growth • Provide regular activity reporting and progress updates to leadership • Build, grow, and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders and bank partners

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience • Three to five years of relevant sales experience • Ability to travel • 5-8 years of sales experience, preferably in payments or merchant services • Knowledge of payment processing products, services, and industry practices • Bilingual proficiency with the ability to read, write, and speak English and at least one additional language • Proven experience in business development, marketing, sales, and contract negotiation • Strong sales acumen with a demonstrated ability to build, manage, and advance a sales pipeline • Ability to identify, escalate, and resolve client issues effectively and creatively • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and prioritization skills • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills • Strong customer service focus with a commitment to follow-up and relationship management • Merchant services sales experience strongly preferred • Experience with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and related technology preferred • Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms to manage opportunities and track sales activity • Collaborative team player with strong relationship-building and partnership skills • Demonstrated record of achievement with a high level of motivation, integrity, competitiveness, and professionalism • Applicants must be able to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies
