📋 Description

• Read and interpret health record documentation to identify all diagnoses and procedures affecting outpatient encounter visits • Assess health record documentation adequacy to support assigned diagnosis and procedure codes • Apply anatomy and physiology, clinical disease processes, pharmacology, and diagnostic and procedural terminology knowledge to assign accurate codes • Maintain understanding of ICD-10 and CPT coding classification systems • Review and perform data charge entry in hospital and physician patient accounting systems for outpatient clinic visits • Organize and prioritize assigned work queues for daily review • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required • Must have one of the following certifications: CCA, CCS, CPC, RHIT, or RHIA • Understanding of CPT and ICD10 • Persons must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management preferred • Two years of coding experience preferred
