📋 Description

• Works under supervision and reads/interprets health record documentation to identify all diagnoses and procedures affecting outpatient encounter visits • Assesses health record documentation adequacy to support assigned diagnoses and procedures • Applies knowledge of anatomy and physiology, clinical disease processes, pharmacology, and diagnostic and procedural terminology to assign accurate codes • Maintains understanding of ICD-10 and CPT coding classification systems • Reviews and performs data charge entries in hospital and physician patient accounting systems for outpatient clinic visits • Organizes and prioritizes assigned work queues daily • Performs other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required • Must have an understanding of CPT and ICD-10 • One of the following certifications: CCA, CCS, CPC, RHIT, or RHIA • Persons must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment • Subject to pre-employment screening, including a criminal background check, drug testing, and/or education verification
