📋 Description

• Read and interpret health record documentation to identify diagnoses and procedures affecting outpatient encounters • Assess health record documentation adequacy to support assigned diagnoses and procedures • Apply knowledge of anatomy and physiology, clinical disease processes, pharmacology, and diagnostic and procedural terminology to assign accurate codes • Maintain understanding of ICD-10 and CPT coding classification systems • Review and perform data charge entries in hospital and physician patient accounting systems for outpatient clinic visits • Organize work queues and prioritize assigned work daily • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma/GED required • Must have an understanding of CPT and ICD-10 • One of the following certifications: CCA, CCS, CPC, RHIT, or RHIA • Persons must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment • Criminal Background Check • Pre-employment screening may include criminal background, drug testing, and/or education verification • Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's in Health Information Management • Preferred: Two (2) years of coding experience
