📋 Description

• Support the RCM department through the management and analysis of payer denials and rejections • Identify areas for improvement within RCM, including registration and coding • Follow up on all unpaid claims using various work queues and aging reports • Resolve claim denials by contacting insurance, submitting appeals, and informing the Billing Manager of denial trends • Correct and resubmit claim rejections in a timely manner • Collaborate with the billing team and Billing Manager on coding-related issues and discrepancies • Answer patient questions related to billing • Complete work queues assigned by the Billing Manager

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) • 3 years experience in medical billing • FQHC experience is highly preferred • Experience working in a remote setting • CPC is a plus • Ability to continuously access an internet connection with 100 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload speeds • Familiarity with software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, especially in Outlook, Teams, and Excel • Experience with electronic health record systems such as EPIC • Familiarity with medical billing and terminology • Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards, including HIPAA and Medicaid/Medicare rules • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment or individually as needed
