📋 Description

• Learn and support Underwriting Department functions • Manage workflow and provide timely, accurate service to internal and external customers • Log and track new quote submissions • Process commercial lines policy transactions, including set-ups, quotes, new business issuance, policy changes, renewals, cancellations, and other transactions • Assist underwriters with information gathering and email correspondence for underwriting decisions • Maintain acceptable quality and productivity levels • Develop working relationships with underwriting staff • Correspond with agents by phone and email • Provide support to Risk Control and Premium Audit business units • Apply guidelines and authority levels to determine referrals to higher support levels or underwriters • Communicate with underwriting support leadership and Team Leads regarding training progress • Maintain confidentiality and privacy when handling sensitive information • Exhibit and promote Business Enablement Behaviors

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent • General customer service experience preferred • Commercial Lines insurance experience or equivalent rating experience preferred • General office environment experience preferred • Employees are expected to participate in continuing education throughout their careers • Associate degree preferred • Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy when handling sensitive information • Ability to meet quality and productivity levels established by management • Ability to learn commercial insurance underwriting terminology, support processes, and software platforms
