📋 Description

• Support, manage and lead transmission and distribution projects across Power and Renewable lifelines • Design and coordinate high-voltage transmission lines from 69kV to 500kV using PLS-CADD • Develop the team and act as a primary client-facing subject matter expert • Apply advanced engineering techniques to complex high-voltage and extra-high-voltage transmission line assignments • Adapt standard techniques to solve multifaceted design problems • Provide expert consultation for technical plans and systems used in high-voltage transmission line construction • Facilitate collaboration across disciplines and project teams • Determine project scope and understand client requirements • Develop final construction documents and ensure quality control and compliance • Produce project design criteria, plan and profile drawings, structure framing and loading drawings, assembly drawings, foundation drawings and construction specifications • Coordinate specific project design aspects • Estimate construction costs and specify materials • Deliver internal training presentations and mentor junior engineers • Assist with proposal bids • Improve internal design standards and processes • Review project drawings, calculations and specifications

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited school • Professional Engineer (PE) license required • Expert in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE required, with ability to train others • Previous experience working with or for a Utility is required • Must have authorization to work permanently in the US • Minimum of 20 years relative transmission line engineering experience is preferred • Master’s degree preferred • Licensure in multiple states preferred • Licensed Structural Engineer (SE) preferred • Expert knowledge and experience in transmission line design, including line routing, engineering and design, construction, structural analysis, and clearance analysis • Proven track record of positive client relationships • Experience reviewing project drawings, calculations and specifications • Excellent presentation and verbal/written communication skills • Strong interpersonal skills • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and AutoCAD preferred • Proficiency in MFAD/LPILE preferred • Ability to embrace evolving technology and AI tools
