📋 Description

• Provide quality-driven telephonic clinical assessments, health education, and utilization management services • Perform triage assessments using computer-based algorithms, protocols, and guidelines • Use clinical knowledge to assess and disposition callers, patients, and members • Make care recommendations and provide education and health information • Identify patient care needs, risk and safety issues, educational opportunities, and appropriate healthcare referrals • Process calls according to Quality Management guidelines • Comply with product-specific performance metrics, nursing standards, company policies, and shared principles • Escalate issues appropriately and in a timely manner • Build rapport with members and influence member behavior • Attend required virtual training and complete intra-training testing • Maintain regular, reliable attendance and timeliness • Work four weekend shifts per month and perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Current, unrestricted RN licensure in a compact state that is the candidate’s state of residence • Must reside in a compact state and maintain a compact multistate license • Current home-state RN license in good standing • Minimum associate degree from a two-year college or technical school, or Diploma Nursing Program • BSN preferred • Maintain the mandatory number of CEUs per year for all assigned licenses • Attend 100% of training hours and pass intra-training testing components • Minimum 3 years of Registered Nurse clinical experience • Ability to apply clinical knowledge to meet clinical business standards • Competence in product delivery and business requirements • Ability to run multiple computer programs simultaneously • Ability to identify improvement opportunities and recommend workable solutions • Ability to exercise judgment within defined practices and procedures • Ability to determine when to escalate issues • Effective listening, reflection, clarification, and communication skills • Effective time management • Must currently reside and have a multistate compact unrestricted RN license in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, or Wyoming • Ability to become licensed in additional states as required • Home office must meet certification requirements • Availability for evening schedules including at least two weekend days every two weeks • 100% attendance required during training • Bilingual skills are a plus • Experience in ER, adult and pediatric care, Medical/Surgical, Home Health and Hospice, or other acute areas preferred • Telephone triage experience and understanding of health benefit plans and the insurance industry helpful but not required
