📋 Description
• Manage billing and collection of accounts with patient balances due to self-pay or insurance processing • Review weekly billing to patients and work reports generated from patient billing • Follow collection protocol for past due balances, including sending texts and making calls • Manage calls from patients with past due balances and accurately note accounts • Participate in revenue cycle meetings and process improvement initiatives • Identify and resolve billing complaints • Answer questions from staff, patients, and insurance companies
🎯 Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in medical office • Experience with practice management systems and EHR platforms • Stay current on Medical Debt Collection policies • Ability to follow collection protocol for past due balances • Ability to accurately note patient accounts • Ability to answer questions from staff, patients, and insurance companies
