• Teach Introduction to Cybersecurity (CTCH 605) remotely in the Cloud Computing & Telecommunications program • Teach the basics of cybersecurity and apply cyber methodologies to architectures, services, protocols, algorithms, software components, and programming languages • Cover security management, security architecture, operations security, physical security, cyber terrorism, and national security impacts • Provide hands-on, real-world learning using state-of-the-art tools and technologies in a lab-intensive environment • Actively engage students through frequent interaction that motivates them and conveys enthusiasm for learning • Guide active collaboration and application of learning through problem- and project-based demonstrations • Provide regular constructive feedback, use rubrics to assess student work, and acknowledge accomplishments • Demonstrate current subject-matter expertise and connect concepts across students’ academic programs • Provide feedback to the program chair on possible curricular improvements
• Terminal degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher learning • Professional experience in Computer Networking and Security • Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education is strongly preferred • Resume/Curriculum Vitae required • Cover letter highly preferred • Candidates with international degrees may be required to submit translation/degree evaluations from NACES-approved vendors • Must complete the online two-week new faculty orientation, FacDev 411, as a condition of hire
