📋 Description

• Support the UCS Development Team in raising $40–$50M annually • Create dedicated fundraising collateral for Major and Mid-Level Donors and Family Foundations • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop proposals, reports, and donor communications • Translate program priorities and workplans into compelling donor-facing narratives • Deliver rapid-response donor communications about program developments, achievements, and related news events • Develop solutions-oriented, impact-driven program narratives using data, visuals, and storytelling • Share updated donor-ready programmatic language across the Development department • Coordinate and lead portfolio-wide communications, including acknowledgement letters, appeals, cultivation mailings, and event invitations • Develop three to five donor program briefs annually • Manage projects with Development, Communications, and Data teams, including lists, vendors, and content assembly • Maintain major donor and family foundation proposal/report calendars • Assemble, draft, design, and repurpose materials • Prepare donor meeting briefing materials and perform copy-editing and writing duties • Ensure accurate data management and coding for donor and prospect audiences • Coordinate, manage, and provide technical direction to project staff, interns, fellows, consultants, and volunteers as assigned • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• At least 5–7 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising • At least 5 years of development writing experience • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Major gifts or foundations fundraising experience, including direct donor contact and solicitation experience, is a plus • Knowledge of donor tracking systems is a plus • Ability to manage complex projects and multiple tasks with thorough attention to detail and follow-through • Ability to plan, organize, and communicate effectively • Ability to collaborate well with colleagues within and outside of the Development department • Demonstrated success managing and prioritizing tasks associated with writing successful and compelling proposals and reports • Superior interpersonal skills and ability to manage relationships and multiple tasks with ease • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and constituent databases • Experience with Raiser’s Edge, Mission CRM, Lexis, Microsoft Dynamics, and/or DonorSearch is a plus • Ability to work remotely, independently, and in a team environment • Bachelor’s degree required; comparable training and/or experience can be substituted for degrees when appropriate
