📋 Description

• Operate as an internal consultant providing broad-based compensation and policy support to HR, managers, and employees • Perform detailed job evaluations for new or revised positions, including classification, exemption status, and market-competitive salary determination • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of compensation and job-evaluation data • Validate job requirements through job analysis, interviews, questionnaires, and observation of duties • Draft, review, and update job descriptions with HR and business leaders • Support career pathways, job architecture, and career ladders • Prepare reports summarizing job analysis, evaluation, career charting, and compensation information • Perform compensation analyses and market pricing, including FLSA testing and classification • Prepare ad hoc analyses, reports, and decision-support materials for complex compensation questions • Complete compensation survey submissions and analyze results • Support mid-year and annual merit compensation planning cycles • Develop or revise processes, procedures, and guidelines for compensation programs • Audit, maintain, and optimize compensation-utilized systems • Educate managers and employees on compensation philosophy and pay-for-performance practices • Lead or participate in special compensation projects and competitive industry assessments • Stay current on compensation-related topics through training and technical publications • Assist with the design, communication, and administration of cash compensation, short-term incentive, and long-term equity programs • Support employee job-description acknowledgement tracking • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, human resources, finance, psychology, or related discipline • 5+ years of progressive compensation experience within a Human Resources function • Knowledge of compensation theory and local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including FLSA, Equal Pay Act, minimum wage, overtime, and record-keeping requirements • Experience building compensation models and conducting detailed pay analyses • Experience using compensation survey data; Radford and Mercer industry surveys preferred • Skill in designing and evaluating job architecture, career ladders, salary structures, market pricing, job grading, and competitive analysis • Ability to interact effectively with managers and HR partners and provide compensation analysis and consultation • Ability to articulate and present technical information and recommendations to technical and non-technical peers • Intermediate-to-advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills • Ability to build and navigate complex spreadsheets using formulas, pivot tables, and charts • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced growth environment and handle ambiguity • Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills • Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism • Ability to travel to company events, team meetings, and/or industry conferences • Master’s Degree in business administration, human resources, finance, psychology, or related discipline preferred • 1+ years of corporate or consulting experience in life sciences or healthcare preferred • CCP, GRP, or related compensation certification strongly preferred • PHR or SPHR preferred • Experience in life sciences highly preferred • Knowledge of and experience with short- and long-term incentives • Experience in related HR areas such as HRIS, Benefits/Total Rewards, or Recruiting • Experience with HRIS and compensation management systems, such as Workday and PayScale/Payfactors • Experience operating in a publicly traded company
