📋 Description

• Instruct undergraduate and/or graduate courses according to University of Phoenix learning objectives and course outlines • Deliver course content, learning activities, and student assessments using current course materials • Provide supplemental knowledge connecting course concepts to real-world applications • Make class materials available promptly • Maintain an engaged classroom presence and respond promptly to student inquiries • Create a supportive learning environment that promotes student growth and academic success • Address student academic issues according to University policies • Coach, tutor, and identify additional learning resources • Oversee student clinical, practicum, and mentorship experiences as required • Attend faculty meetings, University events, and student graduations • Maintain current knowledge of course updates and instruction standards • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through practice, certification/licensure, conferences, publications, networks, and professional organizations • Teach and perform related duties in an online environment • Use and adapt to University technology to facilitate classes and maintain active faculty status • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Doctorate in Nursing (DNP, DNS, PhD) requiring the successful completion of a dissertation or culminating project • 3 graduate semester credits in Research Methodology and/or Evidence-Based Practice and/or Quality Improvement or equivalent • Professional experience in a leadership or management position • 3 years of experience in doctoral level nursing practice • Degree from a regionally accredited institution • Active unencumbered or unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of residence or practice OR a multistate RN license • 1-3 years of direct work with DNP students; preceptor or mentor experience qualifies • Doctoral-level practice experience in administration, clinical, informatics, or consulting, subsequent to doctoral degree attainment • Doctoral-level nursing practice experience, doctoral-level project leadership experience, or completion of a doctoral-level project through an earned Doctor of Nursing degree in the last 10 years • Annual scholarship record meeting UOPX’s definition of scholarship engagement • Familiarity with adult education teaching and learning theory • High problem-solving and decision-making ability • Excellent oral, written communication, and interpersonal skills • Technology proficiency, including Microsoft suite programs • Ability to convey a professional image and represent the University appropriately
