📋 Description

• Conduct lead risk assessments for DPH-enrolled LSHP properties and CLPPP priority properties • Develop and review lead abatement scopes of work • Evaluate lead abatement project costs • Conduct clearance investigations • Identify operational and safety issues and develop improvement plans and standard operating procedures • Review industry updates and assist in developing safety communication materials • Communicate findings to necessary stakeholders • Secure resources and schedule logistics for safety programs • Provide specialized safety knowledge and guidance to internal and external stakeholders, including leadership • Direct logistical activities, allocate resources, and investigate components of health and safety cases • Perform on-site lead safety and health expertise and environmental lead investigations for families throughout Wisconsin

🎯 Requirements

• Willing to frequently travel statewide within Wisconsin with occasional overnight stays • Training requirements may require out-of-state travel for up to one week • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience related to construction, housing programs, health departments, inspection, or investigation work • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with diverse audiences • Ability to become certified as a lead risk assessor • Knowledge or experience in construction, building trades, or housing inspection • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds in and out of a vehicle trunk, from floor to counter height, and carry it from one place to another • Ability to climb steps and ladders unassisted, navigate construction, abatement, and renovation sites with limited or difficult access, and work on knees when taking environmental samples • Valid driver's license required • Employment conditional on passing a Pre-hire Driver Authorization Check • No DHS enforcements related to lead or risk assessments in the DHS Lead and Asbestos state compliance database • Continuous eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsorship • Cover letter and resume required
