📋 Description

• Identify operational and safety issues and develop improvement plans and standard operating procedures • Review industry updates and assist in developing safety communication materials based on industry changes • Communicate findings to necessary stakeholders • Secure resources and schedule logistics for a safety program • Provide specialized safety knowledge and guidance to internal and external stakeholders, including leadership, in areas such as biosafety, chemical safety, hazardous materials, agriculture, lake safety, radiation, and OSHA • Direct logistical activities, allocate resources, and investigate components of specific health and safety cases • Perform duties under the general supervision of the Consultation Program Manager • Provide on-site occupational safety and health consultation to private-sector businesses throughout Wisconsin, with emphasis on construction clients • Travel throughout Wisconsin using a state-owned vehicle, including routine overnight trips

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in the occupational safety and health field • Experience in the construction sphere preferred • Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited University preferred • Must verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete Form I-9 • WSLH does not sponsor work visas at the time of hire or anytime during employment • Required to pass a criminal background check prior to an offer of employment • Must upload a current resume and cover letter • Frequent and routine highway travel throughout Wisconsin, typically 4 single-night overnight trips per month • Ability to provide occupational safety and health expertise and guidance to private sector businesses throughout Wisconsin
