• Embed with teams across Upstream to understand workflows, undocumented processes, and manual work • Identify, scope, and prioritize AI and automation opportunities based on impact, feasibility, adoption potential, and risk • Translate ambiguous business problems into use cases, solution hypotheses, and build plans • Determine when AI is appropriate and when simpler process changes or existing tools are preferable • Design, build, test, and deploy AI-enabled solutions including prompts, skills, agents, automations, and lightweight applications • Prototype rapidly, gather user feedback, and iterate based on usage • Build and curate reusable libraries of prompts, skills, templates, and workflow components • Partner with Data, Analytics and Technology colleagues to transition validated prototypes into production-ready solutions • Document solution requirements, configurations, procedures, and expected outcomes • Develop and deliver AI training, workshops, office hours, self-paced content, and role-specific guidance • Create and maintain documentation, quick-start guides, best practices, and the Upstream AI Hub • Cultivate an AI champions network across departments • Surface and share quantified wins, time savings, workflow improvements, and lessons learned • Support change management for new AI tools and ways of working • Serve as Upstream's internal subject matter expert for AI and automation • Evaluate AI tools, platforms, and connectors and recommend adoption, piloting, or decline • Partner on license administration, provisioning, vendor review, cost tracking, and renewal planning • Establish and maintain guardrails for data privacy, PHI, sensitive-data handling, appropriate use, and human review • Define and track metrics for time saved, quality improvements, usage, and adoption; report progress to leadership • Perform additional duties as assigned
• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent professional experience • 5+ years of experience in analytics, technology, internal tools, business process improvement, automation, consulting, or a closely related field • Hands-on experience delivering AI or automation solutions in a business setting • Ability to build with modern AI tooling, including LLM platforms such as Claude or ChatGPT, prompt and skill development, agentic workflows, and automation or low-code/no-code platforms • Track record translating ambiguous business needs into practical, working solutions • Experience developing and delivering training, documentation, or enablement programs • Comfort working with structured and unstructured data from multiple systems • Fluency with SQL or equivalent to investigate and validate independently • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical colleagues and present clearly to senior leadership • Ability to build trust and influence without direct authority • Self-directed and highly organized, with ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives • Ability to identify and leverage generative AI tools while maintaining human checkpoints • Proficiency in prompt engineering and critical evaluation of AI-generated content • Foundational understanding of AI ethics, data privacy, bias recognition, and responsible use of company information • Ability to remain focused, adaptable, and solution-oriented amid challenges and ambiguity • Comfortable participating in an on-camera meeting culture • Ability to attend work-related in-person meetings and functions as needed • Ability to travel up to 20%
