📋 Description

• Support the Mortgage Loan Originator with administration and processing of mortgage loans • Assist with originations and loan processing functions, including organizing borrower documentation, filing, and administrative tasks • Conduct preliminary research for mortgage eligibility determinations • Assist with pre-qualification and pre-approval activities, including pulling credit reports, running AUS, and gathering borrower information • Coordinate and schedule signing appointments • Communicate with borrowers and relevant parties to provide timely, professional customer service • Prepare loan files for submission to loan processing • Perform data entry, set up customer files, and input application data • Request and follow up on additional borrower documentation • Update and maintain marketing and loan databases for new loans • Support MLO marketing efforts by updating records and sending thank-you notes to customers and realtors • Perform miscellaneous clerical and ad hoc duties • May originate loans, as applicable

🎯 Requirements

• Administrative assistance, clerical, and customer service knowledge and experience • Familiarity with mortgage banking industry and Conventional, FHA, and VA mortgage products • Clear understanding of current RESPA laws and guidelines • Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills • Teamwork and productivity skills • PC computer skills and solid understanding of MS Office • Ability to use the Encompass loan origination system • Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment • Administrative best practices and procedures • High school diploma or equivalent required • 2–4 year college curriculum preferred • Two years' experience and/or training • Knowledge of Encompass Database software or equivalent and basic computer skills • Active MLO Originator License approved via NMLS • Regular attendance required • Daily computer use and close vision
