• Develop profitable new business account relationships and increase profitability from existing accounts, including agent bank partner accounts • Identify and pursue new corporate payment business opportunities to drive revenue growth • Expand and deepen existing client relationships to increase program adoption and profitability • Develop and maintain a referral network, including agent bank partners, and implement a structured plan for a steady pipeline of opportunities • Collaborate with relationship management and product teams on integrated sales efforts and seamless client onboarding • Engage CFOs, treasury leaders, and accounts payable leaders as a consultative partner • Analyze client payment processes and recommend tailored solutions • Travel regularly to meet clients and prospects in person • Deliver sales presentations and product demonstrations to advance opportunities toward closure • Manage the end-to-end sales process, including prospecting, proposals, negotiation, and closing • Maintain an accurate pipeline and ensure timely progress through each sales stage • Monitor industry trends and competitor offerings and adjust sales strategies accordingly • Highlight the unique value of U.S. Bank’s CPS solutions
• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience • 11 to 13 years of financial sales experience • Ability to travel full-time (nationally) • Excellent sales and new business development skills • Extensive knowledge of commercial payment products • Extensive knowledge of CPS products, services, operations, policies and procedures • Advanced knowledge of product marketing, client service issues, and organization operations • Strong marketing and negotiating skills, emphasizing the development of sales strategies and goals • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills • Strong customer service/relation skills with ability to creatively resolve client concerns and issues • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills • Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies • Employment eligibility verification and background checks may apply
