• Provide independent, objective assurance of corporate function and business operational processes • Provide strategic and impactful advisory to management • Execute and report on audit engagements and issue validation • Prepare audit work papers and draft finding reports • Liaise with management on the design, monitoring, and improvement of internal controls • Support the annual internal audit plan by completing audits efficiently, effectively, and within predetermined budgets • Execute internal audits of company functions, processes, and control activities according to IIA Global Standards and U.S. FinTech IA methodology • Perform walkthroughs, engagement testing, substantive procedures, special reviews, and advisory engagements for financial, operational, compliance, risk, and integrated audits • Provide clear and concise task status updates to engagement team leaders • Draft issues, discuss them with management, and develop mitigation plans • Assist with audit reports and ensure audit issues are factual, practical, and sustainable • Follow up on audit and assurance-provider issues and management actions • Test and validate management remediation efforts • Assist with quarterly, annual, and post-engagement risk assessments • Collaborate and interact with U.S. FinTech functions as directed • Stay current on regulatory, industry, and internal-audit developments and trends
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, computer science-related or business-related fields • Minimum 5 years of related work experience in Internal Audit, consulting and/or control testing within Human Resources, Compliance, Enterprise Risk, Operations, or Finance Functions • Must be authorized to work in the US without requiring employer sponsorship currently or in the future • Internal audit experience at a financial service institution and/or FinTech organizations • Experience analyzing business processes to identify potential risks and assess impact and likelihood • Experience using or supporting artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), or advanced data analytics tools in an internal audit environment • Solid understanding of the Institute of Internal Audit’s (IIA) Global IA Standards and their application to audit activities • Working knowledge/solid understanding and ability to test Financial, Regulatory, Operational and Technology risks and controls • Familiarity with assessing and testing IT general controls and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) / Anti-Money Laundering (AML) controls • Familiarity with data analytic driven tools and techniques, including descriptive and predictive analytics • Solid time management and teamwork abilities, strong verbal and written communications and conflict resolution capabilities • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively and confidently interact with management • Familiarity with Mortgage / Securitization market processes • Certifications preferred or in progress: CIA, CPA, CFE, CISA, and/or CAMS • Successful completion of a background investigation, potentially including a credit check
