📋 Description

• Observe and monitor construction for compliance with contract documents and approved shop drawings/material submittals • Record field observations and determine acceptability of construction work performed • Monitor contractor quality control and verify construction conforms to the contractor’s quality control plan • Make field measurements, computations, and records of acceptable work • Prepare reports outlining work performed and quality of completed work acceptable for payment • Calculate quantities of acceptable completed work for payment • Review and verify contractor payment applications, proposals, and change order requests • Coordinate construction activities with the owner and assist the Project Manager with construction-related client issues • Prepare and maintain project records according to company, client, and government standards • Coordinate or conduct quality assurance testing, inspections, and surveys • Follow verbal and written instructions and applicable company, client, government, and industry standards • Perform other related duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma required • INDOT certified technician, or Construction/Civil Engineering degree required • A minimum of 2 years continuous experience in the inspection of federally and locally funded transportation projects • Knowledge of INDOT standards and procedures • Ability to read and comprehend construction documents • Understanding of company standards and construction techniques • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook • Strong mathematics skills • Good oral and written communication skills • Ability to work independently and in a team environment • Valid Driver's License with acceptable record
