📋 Description

• Identify, scope, and lead large technical projects, laying the groundwork for performant, reliable, and customizable core products • Own customer-facing product experiences from understanding user problems and shaping solutions through implementation, launch, measurement, and iteration • Make tradeoffs balancing business priorities, user experience, and sustainable technical foundations • Build reliable, secure systems connecting and interpreting data across people, agents, assets, controls, vendors, and other business context • Partner with product, design, domain experts, and engineers to bring AI-powered workflows from exploration to production • Use AI throughout the development lifecycle to prototype, build, test, and learn faster while maintaining quality, security, and maintainability • Collaborate with engineers to improve customers' security and help them prove it • Lead complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and engineers • Set direction for critical technical surface areas • Contribute to Vanta’s engineering culture

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of full stack experience with an emphasis on backend skills • Technical leadership experience for teams or complex projects • Strong communication and collaboration skills • Experience building user-facing SaaS products, ideally for both startups and enterprise users • Previous startup experience, or experience in an environment that prioritizes a bias for action • Experience building 0→1 products and solving large-scale problems • Interest in or prior experience with security, risk, privacy, or AI governance • Experience with TypeScript and Go is a plus • Experience building AI-powered product experiences, evaluating AI quality, or using modern AI development tools is valuable but not required
