📋 Description

• Provide psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, treatment planning, crisis and safety evaluations, and psychiatric treatment interventions including psychopharmacology, psychoeducation, interventional psychiatry, and psychotherapy as appropriate • Consult with program leadership and treatment staff to support quality and performance initiatives within the Behavioral Health unit • Review and co-sign documentation completed by behavioral health clinicians in accordance with Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, and insurance requirements • Develop and implement appropriate psychopharmacological interventions for psychiatric disorders • Interface with patients’ families as needed for consent and education • Identify and communicate level-of-care criteria and assist with insurance appeals when necessary • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team on case conceptualization and treatment planning • Meet with program leadership as needed to discuss patient progress • Represent the treatment program when required, including interactions with insurance and regulatory bodies • Provide second-opinion evaluations when requested • Assist treatment staff with clinical guidance • Provide medical direction to the treatment team on an as-needed basis

🎯 Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (psychology, biology, pre-med, or related) • Active, unrestricted medical license • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills • Excellent documentation and organizational abilities • Ability to work in fast-paced and evolving environment.
