📋 Description

• Manage implementation of core Management Systems and H&S issues and activities for assigned operations • Train, monitor, and coach the workforce on Management Systems and H&S programs and initiatives • Participate in developing, implementing, and assessing H&S policies, procedures, written work practices, and program components • Monitor employee and facility safety, security, and compliance performance • Develop and sustain a proactive, zero-tolerance H&S culture with field employees, office staff, safety committees, management teams, and clients • Evaluate Management Systems and H&S programs for effectiveness and improvement • Review accident histories and recommend accident-reduction measures • Provide updates regarding issues and activities that put employees, the environment, property, or company brand at risk • Conduct training assessments and skill-gap analyses and assist with training and awareness programs • Work with Project Managers and Site H&S Coordinators to resolve safety problems and issues • Provide guidance for managing work-related injuries and illnesses • Support assigned locations in managing non-conformity or crisis events • Lead incident investigations, including near-misses, injuries, illnesses, property damage, vehicle accidents, and chemical releases • Conduct Root Cause Analyses and recommend preventive, corrective, and training improvements • Participate in audits and inspections, including facility security assessments • Develop and track reports and action plans from issue identification through resolution • Gather performance data and prepare reports and presentations • Plan, formulate, and implement continuous improvement procedures for H&S, EMS, and quality programs • Prepare annual financial plans and operate within approved plans • Operate safely, efficiently, and with fiscal responsibility

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, preferably with a major in safety, chemistry, environmental science, water resources • Associate's Degree in a science or environmental health field as an alternative • Coursework or degree program with a business/management focus on management systems is a plus • Working knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and DOT regulations and requirements • Minimum of 5 years experience with Management Systems and/or Health & Safety programs • Experience in industrial environments managing health and safety programs • Skills in leadership, management, communication, negotiation, analysis, problem resolution, organizational planning, presentation development and delivery • Competence in research processes including data collection, analysis, standardized/statistical reporting, statistical methods and database development • Proficiency in data management systems and Microsoft Office products • Ability to supervise, coach, mentor, and support H&S Coordinators as/if assigned • ASP / CSP preferred, but not required • Working knowledge of workplace safety and hazard recognition • Ability to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with applicable policies and procedures
