📋 Description

• Process assigned Care Coordination Services and Health Information Management tasks • Evaluate medical documents and electronically file them into patient charts • Manage orders, referrals, insurance verifications, prior authorizations, and patient medical forms • Navigate client electronic health records (EHR) software and internal systems • Handle high volumes of work with quality and accuracy • Use data entry and typing skills to process work efficiently • Cross-train in multiple EHRs to provide additional team coverage • Follow defined filing processes and consult documentation or supervisors when needed • Apply client protocols, Service Level Agreements, Planning Guidelines, and target transactions per hour • Track completed work, time, and transaction counts • Complete assigned work and report variances, delays, and resolution actions to management • Maintain HIPAA practices and report violations • Provide professional and courteous customer service to customers, vendors, visitors, coworkers, and management • Attend required meetings and training • Perform other assigned duties to support department and company operations

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required • Experience with health information management concepts, EHRs and/or medical terminology is a plus • Proficient in managing a high-volume, fast-paced environment with accuracy • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to adapt to company-specific software • Capable of efficiently navigating multiple open programs, windows and applications • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Must be able to perform physical tasks such as sitting, talking, hearing, using hands, reaching, standing, walking, driving, and occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs • Occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required • Ability to fulfill responsibilities in a remote capacity while ensuring access to strong/reliable internet within a designated, secure and private workspace • Must follow HIPAA guidelines and procedures and maintain confidentiality concerning business affairs and sensitive data • Must comply with company/client agreed compliance standards
