• Manage daily event administration, including monitoring event-related emails and maintaining records and the event tracker • Process invoices and payments and support staff receiving funding for event participation • Manage contracts, speaker agreements, nomination letters, and other documents through finalization and legal clearance • Collate quarterly statistics for event progress reports • Support logistics for major events and large delegations, including registrations, accommodations, transportation, and meeting venues • Lead communications around Verra’s engagement at external events • Handle content for social media posts, event website entries, and event news announcements • Manage inventory and print requirements for communications materials with the Marketing Team • Maintain internal event communications and updates on the intranet • Ensure proper use of Verra trademarks in event contexts • Serve as primary contact for CEO briefing notes related to bilateral meetings • Coordinate recommendations and logistics for CEO bilateral meetings during major events • Prepare comprehensive CEO briefing materials for public-facing engagements by coordinating subject-matter input, formatting, and consolidating materials • Contribute to broader organizational initiatives
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant professional work experience, particularly in events management and/or communications/marketing • Understanding of key administrative duties required for the role • Work experience in carbon markets, climate change, and/or sustainable development is a strong asset • BSc/BA in Communications, Marketing, Event Management or Administration, or related field; work experience will be considered in lieu of educational experience • Proven ability to support event and/or conference planning, including webinars, stakeholder meetings, and in-person events • Comfort with digital tools and platforms for virtual event management such as Zoom, Teams, or similar platforms • Proficiency with MS Office • Familiarity with project management software such as ClickUp or Monday.com is an advantage • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including crafting messages, drafting executive briefings, and interacting with stakeholders • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently and collaboratively • Ability to build relationships across departments and with external stakeholders • Proactive mindset with ability to anticipate challenges, propose solutions, and pivot as needed • Fluency in English for written and verbal communication • Reliable Wi-Fi and a distraction-free workspace • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for extended periods • Ability to perform physical duties including standing, sitting, talking, hearing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and operating computer, telephone, and keyboard • Ability to lift light loads for event support and travel
