📋 Description

• Design and build scalable, performant, secure, and highly available systems in a continuous delivery environment • Write clean, modular, and maintainable code with unit test coverage • Standardize design patterns to accelerate development velocity across the team • Own work and deliver high-quality results • Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle • Influence and prioritize work for efficient, iterative delivery • Translate high-level strategies into actionable engineering tasks with product and engineering leadership • Identify bottlenecks and system constraints and drive proactive solutions • Reduce technical debt and improve developer experience • Produce technical documentation, schematics, and architecture diagrams • Advocate for and implement best practices in testing, code quality, performance, and tooling • Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge-sharing initiatives • Use monitoring, metrics, and logging to troubleshoot and resolve production issues

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of technical expertise, including recent experience architecting, designing, and developing technology platforms using Ruby on Rails, Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript • 3+ years of experience with relational and NoSQL database platforms, including MySQL and MongoDB • Experience with modern caching technologies; Redis preferred • Experience working in geographically dispersed teams and collaborative, team-driven agile software engineering environments • Experience developing and deploying applications in cloud environments, including familiarity with cloud-native architectures and services • Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and design patterns • Ability to work across multiple technologies and platforms • Ability to write quality, modular, maintainable, secure, and testable code • Familiarity with unit and integration testing best practices • Experience with frontend frameworks such as Vue.js, Vuetify, or Angular • Experience designing and building REST and GraphQL APIs • Experience with background processing tools such as Sidekiq • Strong understanding of service-oriented and/or microservices architectures; event-driven patterns are a plus • Team-oriented mindset, strong intellectual curiosity, and desire for continuous learning • Bonus: experience with AI-assisted development tools or AI/ML capabilities • Bonus: experience developing for Raspberry Pi • Bonus: experience developing mobile applications for iOS/Android • Bonus: experience in high-availability, high-traffic production environments • Bonus: experience with movie theater or entertainment systems • Bonus: experience with Point of Sale, F&B, Ticketing, Inventory, or Order Management Systems • Bonus: experience with CRM, Loyalty, and Membership solutions • Bonus: experience integrating payment platforms, including EMV and card readers • Bonus: experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools
