📋 Description

• Coordinate work activities and write/edit complex IT-related technical documents, including presentations, manuals, reports, and specifications • Develop and distribute communications related to core functions, including SDLC quarterly releases and process/policy changes • Edit documentation for style, clarity, consistency, and adherence to customer guidelines • Research complex technical concepts to edit policies, procedures, workflows, and manuals and create new technical documents • Conduct interviews with technical staff to gather documentation data • Document, communicate, and train processes to embed them in people, process, and technology culture • Evaluate and provide feedback on draft documents and attend documentation reviews • Support the Data Migration & Syndication effort within the Department of Veterans Affairs' Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, computer science, or related discipline • 3+ years of relevant technical writing experience • Ability to interface with technical staff and end-users to understand functional requirements to develop processes and procedures • Experience and understanding of good documentation practices • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and similar systems • Experience with Change Management, including functional, regression, and performance testing • Experience with all phases of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), especially creating User's Requirements Documents and translating them into Functional Requirements Documents and Design Documents when applicable • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining technical documents for developers, code distribution, training guides, and physical code-deployment training • Ability to obtain and maintain a Government clearance • U.S. Citizenship required • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Government clearance • Experience in the VA or other federal organizations desired • Experience with Data Migration and Data Syndication within the VA desired • No sponsorship available
