📋 Description

• Lead and manage the full specialty operations team • Own day-to-day operational performance across all radiology sites, driving accountability to wRVUs, turnaround time, and quality benchmarks • Develop and execute site-level operational playbooks for new site launches, stabilization, and wind-down • Set the department’s strategic vision, objectives, policies, and procedures while maintaining regulatory compliance • Identify operational efficiencies and develop a best-specialty approach • Implement programs and services to improve specialty operations and site performance • Monitor radiologist productivity targets and wRVU benchmarks by modality and site • Oversee turnaround-time performance for STAT, routine, and after-hours reads • Track and report read volume, modality mix, and coverage ratios • Manage credentialing and privileging compliance timelines for radiologists • Oversee critical findings communication, peer review participation, staffing ratios, and coverage gaps • Track equipment uptime and escalate downtime issues • Set strategic direction for PACS, RIS, teleradiology, HL7/PACS routing, and data integration platforms • Sponsor technology initiatives and partner with IT on roadmaps, vendors, and implementation plans • Build reporting infrastructure and analytics capabilities to monitor performance and inform decisions • Drive adoption and implementation of AI tools • Manage the specialty P&L and operations budget, including site financials, vendor costs, and stipend management • Partner with billing and coding teams on charge capture, denials, and collections • Manage vendor and technology relationships • Identify cost inefficiencies and mitigate financial and operational risks • Lead integration of new sites into the Vituity operating model • Collaborate on proformas, proposals, contracts, compliance, analytics, clinical leadership, and new site launches • Provide performance oversight, professional development, mentoring, and coaching • Partner with recruiting leadership to sustain an operations talent pipeline • Foster accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration across a geographically distributed team • Lead and review team work to deliver initiatives and operational plans within schedule and budget • Provide performance feedback and input on hiring, firing, promotion, performance, and rewards decisions • Represent operations in leadership forums and partner with the executive team on strategic initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Management, Public Health and 10 years of progressive operations management experience required OR a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the attainment of the required knowledge skills, and abilities is required • 5+ years of radiology specialty specific healthcare experience required • Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare management, Public Health, or related field preferred • Experience working in healthcare, physician specialty management, and/or multi-location operations preferred • Experience working in a hospital preferred • Strong knowledge of healthcare management, ideally encompassing both hospital-based management experience and physician specialty management • Knowledge of physicians’ clinical, management, and leadership roles in the healthcare environment • Knowledge of payer contracting and its impact on the physician specialty • Knowledge of revenue cycle management and payer contracting • Knowledge of clinical specialty, performance measures, and medical-legal considerations affecting the specialty • Strong analytical skills, creative conceptualization, collaborative management ability, and polished interpersonal skills • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing • Strong knowledge of computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) • Ability to work with physician partners and build effective site service teams • Ability to motivate and develop others • Ability to remain organized while multitasking in a fast-paced environment • Effective and persuasive communication at all levels • Certification • Systems knowledge
