• Lead the regional risk management program across Volta’s North American portfolio • Establish consistent risk governance, standards, processes, methodologies, and escalation requirements • Integrate risk management throughout the project lifecycle and across Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Project Controls, Commercial, Commissioning, and Operations Readiness • Provide independent risk oversight and constructive challenge to project and functional leadership • Promote proactive risk culture, clear ownership, accountability, timely escalation, and risk-informed decision-making • Advise project, regional, and executive leadership as the regional risk management subject matter expert • Lead identification, assessment, mitigation, monitoring, escalation, and closure of risks and opportunities • Build, own, maintain, and oversee project risk registers • Evaluate EPC delivery risks across design, permitting, utility interconnection, procurement, long-lead equipment, construction, commercial performance, commissioning, energization, and MW capacity delivery • Consolidate and evaluate project risks regionally to identify emerging, systemic, correlated, and concentration risks • Lead qualitative and quantitative cost and schedule risk analysis, including Monte Carlo simulation and schedule risk analysis • Assess cost exposure, schedule uncertainty, critical-path risks, milestones, and readiness-for-service dates • Develop risk-based recommendations for project contingency and management reserves • Analyze portfolio risk drivers, scenarios, sensitivities, and potential impacts • Provide risk analysis for investment decisions, stage gates, baseline approvals, major contract awards, and significant project decisions • Develop executive project and regional reporting, dashboards, and analytics • Monitor and report mitigation progress, overdue actions, exposure changes, realized risks, and escalation matters • Support project reviews, leadership meetings, investment decisions, and governance forums • Conduct periodic project risk reviews and health checks • Test project assumptions, forecasts, contingency requirements, mitigation strategies, and confidence levels • Identify cross-project lessons learned and systemic weaknesses • Drive continuous improvement of risk processes, methodologies, tools, analytics, reporting, and organizational capability
• Bachelor’s in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant industry experience • Significant experience in risk management, project controls, or project delivery within complex EPC, construction, infrastructure, energy, mission-critical, or major capital programs • Demonstrated experience leading project and portfolio risk management, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation, monitoring, escalation, and assurance • Strong understanding of cost, schedule, contingency, and project controls principles and their integration with project risk management • Experience applying quantitative risk analysis and probabilistic techniques to evaluate project cost and schedule uncertainty • Advanced experience with Monte Carlo simulation, cost and schedule risk analysis, scenario analysis, and risk-based contingency development • Strong understanding of EPC contracting, procurement, supply chain, change management, claims, and commercial risk • Proven ability to influence and constructively challenge senior project and functional leaders in a complex, fast-paced project environment • Strong written, verbal, facilitation, and executive communication skills, with the ability to translate complex risk information into clear business insights and recommended actions • Ability to identify systemic and correlated risks across multiple projects and provide regional-level insight to support management decision-making • Experience delivering hyperscale, AI, mission-critical, or large-scale data center programs • Knowledge of power, cooling, utility interconnection, long-lead equipment, commissioning, and MW capacity delivery • Experience with enterprise or project risk management platforms and integration with scheduling, cost management, and reporting systems • Relevant professional certification such as PMI-RMP, PMP, AACE, IRM, or equivalent risk/project management credential • Working knowledge of ISO 31000, PMBOK, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 • Experience presenting portfolio risk, contingency, schedule confidence, and emerging exposure to executive leadership and governance committees • Experience with @Risk, Riskonnect, SAFRAN, or other industry-standard software • Right to work in the country where the role is based
