📋 Description

• Lead and develop a high-performing Trust & Safety team, ensuring a culture of empathy, integrity, and commitment to user safety • Lead the Product function setting the Trust and Safety product strategy, tooling, and operational support • Drive VRChat's trust and safety strategy, setting goals and metrics aligned with company objectives • Collaborate across Product to embed trust and safety into product design and development • Oversee moderation of content and user behavior reports for compliance with community guidelines and policies • Develop and implement policies, processes, and training programs for scalable, consistent moderation and user safety • Engage with the broader trust and safety ecosystem, including tech companies, NPOs, and government agencies • Serve as a key contact for executive leadership, providing updates and strategic insight • Monitor industry trends and regulatory developments in online safety • Report to the VP of Product and collaborate with leadership across functions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent experience • Proven experience (5+ years) in trust and safety leadership (with management experience) within a consumer-facing tech company; experience in online gaming, social media and/or community-focused platforms is a plus • Strong understanding of content moderation practices, digital safety frameworks, and policy development • Demonstrated success in leading and managing high-performing teams with a focus on safety, well-being, and efficiency • Ability to collaborate across departments and advocate for trust and safety needs with key stakeholders • Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex safety concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences • Familiarity with data analysis and KPI tracking, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence • Passion for VR, online communities, and fostering safe and inclusive digital spaces • All job offers are subject to early stage ID checks, satisfactory referencing and background checks
