📋 Description

• Collaborate with business teams to identify needs and opportunities for leveraging data in business monitoring and decision management • Engage business leaders and staff to clarify needs and define business requirements for data analysis • Analyze complex business problems using operational and financial data from multiple sources • Perform data exploration, analysis, and statistical inference to identify trends, patterns, influences, opportunities, and risks • Develop forecasts, regression models, what-if scenarios, and recommendations for strategic, tactical, and operational decision-making • Create dashboards, visualizations, and reports for business performance monitoring, automating where possible • Create presentations that communicate insights to business leaders and colleagues • Collaborate with the enterprise analytics and information management team on data models and data access • Contribute to data inventory and stewardship, including metadata management, data profiling, data quality remediation, and data cleansing • Adhere to enterprise policies regarding data security and privacy, data management, data quality, and data governance

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, analytics, mathematics, economics, computer science, or related functional area; or equivalent experience • 4+ years of demonstrated data analytics experience, including querying and analyzing operational and/or financial data, generating insights, and communicating findings • Prior experience executing analytics projects in financial management and forecasting, risk assessment, insurance utilization and pricing, supply chain optimization, retail management, eCommerce management, consumer behavior analysis, marketing optimization, or healthcare management • Experience building complex SQL queries to join, filter, cleanse, and aggregate data • Understanding of how GUI-driven applications apply SQL concepts • Experience creating effective data visualizations and dashboards highlighting trends and patterns and monitoring KPIs • Experience using data exploration and analysis platforms such as Cognos Analytics, Tableau, SAS, or similar • Familiarity with data modeling concepts and relational database structures • Strategic skills, business acumen, and curiosity • Ability to analyze and document business requirements • Ability to change priorities and direction quickly and effectively • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and analytical skills • Remains current in the field, including learning new techniques, approaches, and software • Expert-level skills in Excel
