📋 Description

• Architect and design the physical infrastructure to support data center scale deployments of networks, servers, and GPU including rack layouts, components, cable management, power, and cooling requirements. • Work with internal teams and vendors to define and develop the hardware deployment strategies and designs needed to support business, scalability, redundancy, and security requirements. • Create and evaluate hardware BOMs for deployments to ensure that they meet business and design requirements. • Create documentation, drawings, cable schedules, and technical documentation required by both technical and non-technical audiences. • Partner with facilities, vendors, and onsite contractors to successfully build and turn up new facilities and hardware deployments. • Validate installation and connections against design specifications • Work with internal teams and contractors to troubleshoot and resolve any issues found with the hardware or connectivity. • Work in conjunction with project management teams and other stakeholders to manage the physical infrastructure aspects of projects. • Create and maintain documentation for physical infrastructure as well as assist in training other technical teams on physical infrastructure.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent experience. • 7+ years of experience in server infrastructure, with at least 3 years in an architecture or design role. • Experience with colocation, hyperscale, or enterprise-class data centers providers. • Deep understanding of network hardware, designs, and cabling • Expertise in server hardware components, server configurations, and storage systems. • In depth knowledge of data center facility equipment, operations, and design standards including power, cooling, cabling, monitoring, and operations. • Working knowledge of Linux and common Network OS platforms. • A proven track record of successfully leading large-scale data center projects from conception to completion. • Ability to lead cross-functional projects and mentor junior engineers. • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities. • Excellent communication and documentation skills. • Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
