📋 Description

• Mentor and train Junior System Administrators and System Administrators to develop technical expertise and operational best practices • Lead technical projects from planning through implementation, ensuring timely and successful delivery • Manage incident response activities for escalated issues, coordinating resolution and communication as needed • Perform the setup, configuration, and ongoing management of internal infrastructure virtual machines (VMs) and services • Plan, stage, and deploy platform upgrades and updates across the server fleet • Provision and configure software on new nodes to support production and development environments • Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for platform and customer-reported issues • Install, configure, and commission servers by deploying required operating systems, software, and services

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience administering enterprise Linux environments (CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu, or similar) • Advanced knowledge of Linux system administration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and security best practices • Proficiency in Bash, Python, or other scripting languages used for automation and infrastructure management • Experience deploying and managing virtualization platforms and containerized workloads, including Kubernetes and Libvirt • Familiarity with networking technologies, including routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, and DNS • Experience configuring and supporting web servers, databases, caching solutions, and distributed storage platforms such as Ceph • Working knowledge of Cumulus Linux, PHP routing, and related infrastructure technologies is a plus • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex platform and customer-facing issues • Excellent communication, documentation, and mentoring skills with the ability to collaborate across technical teams • Must be located in the United States • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future
