• Lead Planning & Procurement for Domestic Operations across the Hope, Arkansas and Peebles, Ohio facilities and third-party pellet manufacturing • Translate operational strategy into annual sourcing, planning, and cost-reduction initiatives • Advise Domestic Operations leadership on cost-per-ton performance, supply risks, mitigation strategies, and capital planning • Drive cross-functional alignment on supply plans, inventory targets, service performance, and operational priorities • Develop scalable processes, organizational capability, and team depth • Own delivered fiber cost per finished ton and drive performance against budget targets • Identify savings opportunities and expand and manage the supplier network • Establish sourcing strategies and purchasing guidelines by species, form, and plant location • Optimize form, freight, and sizing decisions for reliable, cost-effective fiber supply • Negotiate supplier terms, monitor performance, and evaluate sourcing alternatives • Lead production planning for internally produced and third-party manufactured pellet products • Align fiber procurement with production schedules, inventory requirements, and customer demand • Develop capacity models and contribute to executive dashboards and monthly IBP/S&OP processes • Maintain planning assumptions related to yield, moisture, consumption, and inventory • Deliver cost-per-ton reduction targets for MRO and packaging consumables • Standardize suppliers, pricing, contract terms, and category management practices • Establish spare-parts strategies and stocking levels • Set inventory policies balancing service levels with working-capital efficiency • Improve inventory accuracy, cycle counting discipline, and internal controls • Support OTIF service performance through inventory and supply planning • Advance procurement and planning through analytics-driven decision-making and process optimization • Support SAP Inventory Management stabilization and continuous process improvement • Own KPI governance for sourcing, cost, supplier performance, yield, and inventory accuracy • Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for cost, supply, and service variances • Lead and develop procurement and operations process teams • Build supplier and partner relationships while ensuring safety, quality, and performance compliance
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field • Director level: 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement, planning, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment • Director-level accountability for multi-site sourcing spend and production planning • Experience leading managers and influencing at the executive level • Wood fiber procurement experience in pellet, panel, paper, or biomass manufacturing is required • Raw material or commodity sourcing experience, including supplier qualification, negotiation, and category strategy development • Production planning and master scheduling experience using MTS and MTO models • Capacity modeling experience • Experience managing indirect, MRO, and packaging categories • Knowledge of inventory management, including safety stock, cycle counting, and inventory accuracy governance • Experience with SAP or a comparable ERP system • Strong financial acumen, including P&L management, landed-cost modeling, and ROI evaluation • Ability to travel to Hope, Peebles, third-party suppliers, and distribution locations as needed • Preferred: Experience leading or maturing IBP/S&OP processes in manufacturing operations • Preferred: Experience deploying or maturing SAP IM and EWM in a production and distribution environment • Preferred: Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing certification • Preferred: Advanced analytical and cost modeling capability, data governance, and exposure to AI-enabled sourcing or planning optimization
