📋 Description

• Support a team of attorneys with general litigation defense tasks from inception through trial and close • Manage client cases from inception through trial and closing • Complete daily time entry billing requirements • Obtain, review, analyze, and summarize documents, including medical records, financial documents, and other relevant case information • Prepare for trials, including trial binders, exhibits, and witness files • Manage the court docket calendar • Create status reports and provide updates to appropriate parties • Work on cases from start to finish and meet all court deadlines • Perform additional duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience, preferably in defense litigation support • Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved organization • Excellent attention to detail and organization skills • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet all deadlines and prioritize workload • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams of attorneys, legal staff, court staff, clients, expert witnesses, etc. • Demonstrated interest in defense litigation • Ability to perform legal research; experience with Lexis a plus • Familiarity with reviewing and obtaining medical records • Experience providing concise and thorough chronologies • Experience with time entry billing in a law firm setting, required • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, required
