📋 Description

• Mentor, role model, and facilitate nursing students’ academic development • Provide guidance and academic support to students • Teach assigned courses using varied teaching methodologies • Participate in course, curriculum, and program assessment activities • Contribute to improving class materials and syllabi • Facilitate achievement of prescribed student learning outcomes • Maintain scholarly activities • Participate in professional growth and university service • Use university technologies and resources, including Simulation and Innovation Labs • When working in clinical settings, assume responsibility for students in clinical facilities • Clarify clinical expectations with students and clinical facility staff • Direct students to resources for clinical preparation • Assess student knowledge and skills to ensure patient safety and optimal care • Conduct pre- and post-conferences connecting theory with clinical objectives • Provide immediate and periodic feedback on clinical performance

🎯 Requirements

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Experience working with online learning management systems • Compliance with state, federal, and local laws and regulations, including state Board of Nursing requirements • Minimum of five years’ prior experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care • Minimum of three years’ experience in the field in which they teach • Education and experience must align with state regulations and state authorization agency requirements • MSN required • DNP or PhD required • Professional nurse licensure required
