📋 Description

• Provide strategic leadership and technical oversight for complex mechanical projects • Serve as the primary authority on piping construction, welding execution, and code compliance throughout the project lifecycle • Report to the Director of MMC Operations • Lead planning, execution, and oversight of major mechanical construction projects • Oversee piping system installation, fabrication, and welding activities • Manage design coordination, material procurement, fabrication, field installation, hydrostatic testing, and system turnover • Ensure welding activities comply with ASME B31.1, B31.3, Section IX, AWS, and project-specific quality requirements • Review and approve WPS, PQRs, and welder qualification records • Resolve complex mechanical, piping, and welding-related field issues while minimizing schedule and budget impacts • Interface with engineering, quality assurance, and construction teams to ensure constructability and successful piping-system execution

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field • 10+ years of project management experience in industrial, power generation, or nuclear construction environments • Experience managing large-scale piping fabrication and installation projects involving carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy materials, and specialty piping systems • Experience coordinating mechanical construction activities in accordance with ASME, AWS, API, and applicable regulatory requirements • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams while maintaining focus on safety, quality, productivity, and project performance • Strong working knowledge of GTAW (TIG), SMAW (Stick), GMAW (MIG), FCAW, and nondestructive examination (NDE) requirements • Ability to manage welding quality programs, turnover packages, code compliance documentation, and jurisdictional inspections • Applicants must meet applicable United States export control requirements
