📋 Description

• Create and maintain detailed fabrication and erection drawings for metal building systems using Tekla Structures • Develop accurate 3D models, shop drawings, assembly drawings, and detail drawings based on project requirements and engineering documentation • Review architectural, structural, and engineering drawings to identify dimensions, specifications, connections, and other detailing requirements • Ensure drawings and models accurately reflect design requirements, material specifications, and manufacturing standards • Coordinate detailing requirements with engineering, manufacturing, project management, and other internal departments • Identify discrepancies, design conflicts, and missing information and communicate issues for resolution • Make revisions to drawings and models based on engineering changes, customer requirements, and production needs • Verify dimensions, material quantities, connections, and other critical details for accuracy • Prepare clear and accurate drawings that communicate fabrication and installation requirements • Maintain organized project files and documentation throughout the detailing process • Follow company drafting standards, procedures, and quality requirements • Assist with improving drafting and detailing processes to increase accuracy and production efficiency • Communicate effectively with team members while working in a remote environment • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Associate degree, technical degree, or equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience preferred • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the metal building industry • Professional experience using Tekla Structures is required • Strong knowledge of metal building systems, structural steel, and fabrication processes • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings • Strong understanding of dimensions, tolerances, connections, materials, and fabrication requirements • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to identify and resolve drafting and detailing issues • Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote work environment • Experience detailing pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB) preferred • Experience with structural steel fabrication or manufacturing preferred • Knowledge of primary and secondary framing, roof and wall systems, bracing, and structural connections preferred • Experience coordinating with engineering and manufacturing teams preferred • Additional experience with CAD or related structural detailing software preferred
