📋 Description

• Communicate back and forth with WM drivers to assist with problem resolution while on route for residential, commercial, and roll-off lines of business • Handle incoming service orders, direct drivers, and resolve service issues • Interact with WM customer service, sales, and operational staff, including Route Managers and Mechanics • Use WM proprietary software to manage same-day ticket routing and prepare routes for the next day • Dispatch drivers to calls based on customer needs, driver locations and loads, and daily factors balancing cost and customer satisfaction • Work with sites and the service department to optimize routes • Determine daily driver staffing levels to balance responsiveness and productivity • Assign routes and service tickets to appropriate drivers throughout the day and for the next day • Manage route actions and assure route completion • Handle incoming calls and emails from customer service and sales departments • Manage pickup or delivery requests for container movements within the market area • Communicate with customers while drivers are on-site to resolve pickup and other service issues • Troubleshoot and resolve delivery and pickup problems before they become service issues • Ensure same-day service on missed pickups by managing routing and tracking driver movement in the field • Travel up to 15% may be required to work face to face with sites

🎯 Requirements

• Must live within a reasonable commute of Franklin, TN • Dispatch, routing, or logistics experience preferred • Strong communication skills • Computer proficiency • High School Diploma or G.E.D. • 6 months of relevant work experience in a team setting • Ability to communicate effectively with several areas • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment • Excellent organizational skills • Ability to work Monday-Friday during hours of operation from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. • Potential availability for overtime and Saturday hours depending on market area dispatch center needs • May be required to travel up to 15% • Must have or be willing to obtain a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative if required for air travel or federal property access
